ARK: Survival Ascended Enigmasaur Completes Fantastic Tames Season 1 with Shapeshifting
The Enigmasaur closes out ARK: Survival Ascended's Fantastic Tames Season 1 as an extraordinary shapeshifter that doesn't just imitate other creatures but actually becomes them, blending in so convincingly that even members of the species it mimics may be fooled.
It stores the forms of nearby creatures it observes from the shadows, then transforms at will to gain that creature's unique abilities, and it can hoard several stolen forms at once—imagine a Rex armed with a scorpion's sting. Taming involves impressing it by showing you've tamed one of the same creatures it's currently mimicking, repeating the process as it cycles through multiple forms until you demonstrate your goodwill. Once it learns several forms, it retains each creature's useful traits regardless of its current shape, and returning to its own body gives it access to all those learned abilities at once.
The Enigmasaur joins the previously released Burrowbuck and three-headed Cerberax as the third and final creature in the Fantastic Tames Season 1 bundle. It is available now in ARK: Survival Ascended on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
