Company of Heroes 3 Update 3.0 Launches with New Maps, Weather, and Co-op Final Stand
The 3.0 Update Launch Trailer for Company of Heroes 3 is here, showcasing the biggest update to the strategy wargame since its 2023 launch, released free on PC via Steam as part of the franchise's 20th anniversary celebrations.
The update overhauls nearly every aspect of the game with new snow and rain weather effects, dynamic terrain wetness, enhanced fog and lighting, new environments, reworked weapon and explosion audio, and classic tracks from the first two games. AI improves in the late game, multiplayer receives economy and artillery rebalancing, and five new maps join the pool alongside refreshes to Langres Winter, Mignano Summit, and Rapido River Crossing. The Italian dynamic campaign gets progression fixes and visual upgrades, while Final Stand adds 3-player co-op, the Dam Busters Battleground, new enemy units, abilities, and passive technologies. Four premium cosmetic sets are also available.
Update 3.0 is available now for Company of Heroes 3 on PC (Steam). The first campaign DLC, Operation Torch, launches November 25.
