Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 has received a new gameplay trailer showcasing its cooperative third-person survival shooter action. The sequel will launch on August 25, 2026, for Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, Epic Games Store, and Steam. The game will also arrive on Nintendo Switch 2 in fall 2026, expanding the platforms where players can take on the role of Colonial Marines within the Alien universe.
Cooperative Survival Against the Xenomorph Threat
Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 puts up to four players in the boots of Colonial Marines sent into dangerous areas across the Alien universe. Unlike a rescue operation, the mission focuses on survival as squads face waves of Xenomorphs attacking from the shadows and overwhelming players with their numbers.
The new trailer highlights the cooperative gameplay experience, with teams needing to coordinate their actions, make use of each class's unique abilities, and adapt as encounters escalate from controlled fights to larger battles.
