The expansion was developed by MachineGames in collaboration with id Software and introduces new maps, enemy variants, and weapon variants. The launch trailer gives players a look at the latest chapter in Quake's brutal campaign, featuring a new challenge for Ranger as he attempts to escape a mysterious dimension trapped in an endless cycle of violence.

A New Quake Episode From MachineGames

Dawn of the Machine continues MachineGames' previous work on Quake expansions such as Dimension of the Past and Dimension of the Machine. The new episode adds 19 new maps, alongside new enemy and weapon variations that expand the classic FPS experience.

The story places Ranger inside a dimension of endless illusion, where he has been forced to repeat the same battles countless times. After hearing rumors of the Nightmare Machine, a mysterious creation believed to be the source of the illusion, Ranger sets out to destroy it and finally break free.

Quake Celebrates 30 Years With New Content

The release of Dawn of the Machine marks another addition to Quake's ongoing legacy, bringing a new campaign created by one of the studios that helped revive the franchise with modern expansions while maintaining the original game's fast-paced combat style.
