EA Sports hosted a live Twitch Q&A featuring developers from the
Gameplay, Ultimate Team, The Grounds, and Career Mode teams, offering
additional insight into several of EA Sports FC 27's upcoming features.
Throughout the stream, the team answered community questions and
expanded on topics that had only been briefly introduced during previous
deep dives. A significant portion of the discussion focused on Career Mode, where
developers explained how new systems are designed to make transfers and
squad building feel more authentic while giving players additional
tools to manage their clubs.
Career Mode Transfers Receive a Major Overhaul
One of the biggest topics was the redesigned transfer system. Developers highlighted the integration of TransferRoom, a real-world football transfer platform, to help create a more dynamic transfer market.
Clubs will now be able to list players they are willing to sell, making it easier for AI teams to identify realistic transfer targets. Players can also publicly declare their interest in moving, potentially attracting offers from other clubs.
Another new addition is the ability to negotiate installment payments, allowing transfer fees to be split across multiple payments rather than requiring the full amount up front. The team explained that this creates greater financial flexibility when building squads.
XTV Brings More Context to the Football World
The developers also discussed XTV, an in-game news system that delivers updates on transfers, club activity, and football stories throughout a save. Rather than simply displaying transfer notifications, XTV aims to provide additional context and make Career Mode feel more connected to the wider football world.
Developers Answer Community Questions
Beyond Career Mode, the livestream featured questions covering Gameplay, Ultimate Team, and The Grounds. Developers shared further explanations about previously announced features and clarified how several new systems will work in EA Sports FC 27, although not every question received a detailed answer during the session.
NEW FC27: Season Points (SP) Will Be Capped Across Rivals and Other Modes
A notable detail revealed during the FC 27 Developer Q&A concerns Season Points (SP). Gameplay Producer Jamey Cane confirmed that FC 27 will introduce a cap on the amount of SP players can earn through the rewards system in modes such as Division Rivals and others. While EA did not reveal the exact cap or explain how it will be applied, the change means players will no longer be able to earn unlimited SP through regular gameplay rewards.
