Hitman Classic Trilogy Remastered Announced for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S

June 06, 2026

Agent 47’s earliest missions are returning in 2027. Saber Interactive has announced Hitman Classic Trilogy Remastered, a collection that brings the first three entries in the iconic stealth series to modern platforms with upgraded visuals, new features, and support for current-generation hardware.

Agent 47’s Origins Return on Modern Platforms

Revealed on June 5, Hitman Classic Trilogy Remastered includes Hitman: Codename 47, Hitman 2: Silent Assassin, and Hitman: Contracts. The trilogy is set to launch on PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S in 2027. Originally released between 2000 and 2004, these titles established many of the stealth mechanics and sandbox-style mission design that would later define the Hitman franchise.

According to Saber Interactive, the project aims to preserve the gameplay systems, atmosphere, and player-driven freedom that helped define the Hitman franchise while updating the experience for modern audiences. Whether returning to familiar contracts or stepping into Agent 47’s shoes for the first time, players will be able to experience the series’ foundations in a refreshed package.

Classic Gameplay with Modern Enhancements

The remastered collection introduces several visual and quality-of-life improvements while staying faithful to the original releases. One of the standout additions is an instant graphics toggle, allowing players to switch between the original presentation and the enhanced visuals at any time.

  • Upgraded character models and enhanced environments
  • High-resolution textures across all three games
  • Dedicated Photo Mode
  • Instant switching between original and remastered visuals

The collection also retains the open-ended mission design that became a hallmark of the franchise. Players will once again be free to rely on disguises, stealth, tactics, and environmental opportunities to complete contracts, with multiple paths available in every mission.

Three Games, One Evolution of the Series

Beyond bringing together three classic titles, the collection offers a look at how the Hitman formula evolved during its early years. Players can follow the progression from the open-ended mission design of Codename 47, through the refined stealth mechanics of Silent Assassin, to the darker and more psychological tone of Contracts.

As in the original releases, success depends on careful planning, observation, and adaptability. Whether a mission unfolds exactly as intended or takes an unexpected turn, the games continue to reward creativity and player choice.

Saber Interactive Continues Its Remaster Portfolio

Hitman Classic Trilogy Remastered is the latest remaster project associated with Saber Interactive. The company has previously contributed to or partnered on several notable releases, including the Tomb Raider I–III Remastered and Tomb Raider IV–VI Remastered collections, Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 1 & 2 Remastered, Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary, Halo: The Master Chief Collection, and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt for Nintendo Switch.

Hitman Classic Trilogy Remastered launches in 2027 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Players can already add the collection to their wishlist ahead of release.
