October 22, 2026

NVIDIA has released GeForce Game Ready Driver 621.01 WHQL, adding support for Phantom Blade Zero and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, alongside DLSS updates for several games. The driver also introduces Advanced Shader Delivery support for Modern Warfare 4, helping reduce shader compilation times.

Upcoming Game Releases

  • October 23: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 launches in full, adding multiplayer following the earlier campaign and DMZ early access periods.
  • October 28: Phantom Blade Zero launches with DLSS 4.5, Dynamic Multi Frame Generation and path-traced lighting support on GeForce RTX GPUs.

🔫 Modern Warfare 4 Adds Advanced Shader Delivery

Modern Warfare 4 supports DLSS Super Resolution and NVIDIA Reflex, while RTX 40 Series GPUs can use DLSS Frame Generation. RTX 50 Series owners can enable Dynamic Multi Frame Generation with up to 6X frame multiplication.

The driver also enables Advanced Shader Delivery, which uses Microsoft's cloud infrastructure to prepare shaders for compatible hardware. This can eliminate the initial shader compilation screen and reduce stuttering caused by shaders compiling during gameplay. The technology is also supported in Gears of War: E-Day.

Players control Soul, a swordsman framed for murdering his master, who has just 66 days to uncover a conspiracy. The game features more than 30 primary weapons and over 20 Phantom Edges. On GeForce RTX GPUs, DLSS 4.5 with Dynamic Multi Frame Generation will boost performance, while DLSS Ray Reconstruction enhances its path-traced lighting and effects.

🎮 Cyberpunk 2077 and NBA 2K27 Get DLSS Improvements

Cyberpunk 2077's update arrives October 22, upgrading its existing DLSS Super Resolution, Multi Frame Generation and Ray Reconstruction integrations to second-generation AI models. It also adds Dynamic Multi Frame Generation. Meanwhile, NVIDIA says the updated DLSS 5 model introduced in NBA 2K27 Season 2 can deliver up to 1.4x higher frame rates on GeForce RTX 50 Series GPUs, RTX Spark laptops and GeForce NOW. The model is reportedly 10 times faster overall than the version unveiled in March.
