Infinity Ward has released a First Look Trailer for the first beta weekend of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, giving players a preview of the multiplayer content and campaign footage included in the upcoming test. Check the requirements to play the Open Beta on PC.
Beta modes and content
The first beta weekend will give players access to several multiplayer experiences, alongside a first look at the campaign:
- 6v6 Multiplayer — traditional team-based multiplayer matches across several maps.
- Kill Block — a new multiplayer mode featured during the beta.
- Ground War — larger-scale multiplayer combat that will be added during the open beta phase.
- Campaign – Entrenched — a campaign mission that players will be able to experience during the beta.
How to play the beta on PC
The Early Access portion of the beta runs from August 21 through August 25 for players who have pre-ordered Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 on Steam, Battle.net, or Xbox on PC. Players who purchase the game digitally through those platforms are automatically granted access, while those who pre-order through participating retailers will need to redeem their beta code.
The Open Beta will then run from August 28 through September 1 and will be available to all players. This second phase will expand the available content with Ground War, Warzone content, and the new Zodiac map.
PC players should also note that
TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot must be enabled to participate in the beta.
