Star Wars: Zero Company has received its final trailer ahead of its
August 27 release, offering another look at Bit Reactor's single-player
turn-based tactics game set during the final days of the Clone Wars. The new footage puts more focus on the conflict surrounding Zero
Company and its mission, while highlighting the squad-based combat and
story that will drive the campaign. Players will take command of an
unconventional group of operatives and make tactical decisions across a
series of missions set within a lesser-explored corner of the Star Wars
universe.
A new story set during the Clone Wars
Zero Company follows Hawks, a former Republic officer who is called upon to lead an elite squad assembled from operatives with different backgrounds and abilities. The campaign centers on the Infinite Coil, a Separatist-aligned cult led by Kundri Fathom, which becomes the main threat facing the squad.
The game is designed around turn-based tactical combat, with players controlling their squad directly on the battlefield and adapting their approach to each situation. Squad members can also be customized, including their appearance, equipment, and abilities, giving players greater control over how their team operates in combat.
The final trailer also puts the Clone Wars setting front and center, showing familiar elements of the era alongside Zero Company's original characters and story. Captain Rex is also featured in the new footage, adding another connection to the wider Clone Wars storyline.
Squad customization and tactical decisions
Beyond combat, Zero Company places an emphasis on the relationships between its characters. Squad members can develop bonds with one another, with those relationships affecting their effectiveness in battle through combat synergies.
Players will also have a base of operations between missions, where they can manage their squad and prepare for upcoming operations. The combination of squad customization, character development and turn-based combat is central to the game's single-player structure.
