Season 1 brings at least six multiplayer maps, including the snow-covered rural village of Backstab, the towering desert rock walls of Canyon, a reimagined Shoot House, and the static Kill Block: Crash variant, with Ministry and Overflow arriving mid-season. New modes include the fan-favorite Grind, Drop Zone, and Gauntlet 1v1 Wager Matches, following the pre-season arrival of Infected and Possession. In DMZ, players can infiltrate the new X01 facility—a labyrinthine former GRANIT Arms black site seized by enemy forces, featuring underground labs, production lines, a sealed Deep Vault, and the 100 Spirits NK Faction, with Ghost guiding Operators through new Orders. The update also adds the Cronen Osprey Assault Rifle and CSG-35 SMG to the Battle Pass, alongside the BlackCell Operator XERO.
Season 1 for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 is launching on November 6 for PlayStation 5 (PS5), Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC (Steam).
