Psyonix and Epic Games are bringing international football fever to the pitch—minus the offsides rule. The new Rocket League - FIFA World Cup 2026
Season 23 trailer reveals a wave of patriotic customizations, a brand
new demolition mechanic, and a sleek electric vehicle. Season 23
launches June 10.
What's coming in Season 23
Instead of picking a single nation to rep, you'll soon have dozens of choices. The update leans heavily into global customization, letting players fly their favorite country's colors across the arena.
- 48 unique decals – one for each participating nation in the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
- Demolition Spawn Selection – a new mechanic that gives you control over where your car reappears after getting demo'd.
- Hyundai Ioniq 6 vehicle – a real-world electric sedan turned into a rocket-powered battle car.
More than just a paint job
The headline feature might be the 48 decals, but the Demolition Spawn Selection is the quiet tactical upgrade that competitive players will actually care about. Instead of respawning at a fixed location after getting blown up, you'll have a small window to choose your next position on the field. It's a subtle change, but in high-rank 3v3, that split-second decision could save a goal.
Hyundai joins the roster
Vehicle crossovers aren't new to Rocket League, but the Hyundai Ioniq 6 marks another real-world manufacturer stepping into the chaotic, high-flying arena. Expect the usual mix of painted variants and decal support once the season goes live. No word yet on whether it handles anything like a real Ioniq—but probably not.
When can you play?
Season 23 officially begins on June 10. As always, the new content will roll out alongside a fresh Rocket Pass, competitive season reset, and the usual arena tweaks. The trailer is live now for anyone who wants to see those 48 decals in motion.
