Geralt returns to the Path in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt — Songs of the Past,
a brand-new third expansion coming in 2027. The White Wolf travels to

personal matter in a seemingly peaceful land hiding a dark secret
beneath the surface.
A New Adventure for Geralt

The story will also feature choices and consequences as Geralt investigates a supernatural mystery and a long-dormant evil threatening Letten.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt — Songs of the Past is being developed by CD PROJEKT RED and Fool's Theory and will launch in 2027 for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and Battle.net.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Remastered
Alongside the expansion, CD PROJEKT RED also announced The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt — Remastered, launching on September 29, 2026, as a free upgrade for existing owners. The remastered version will bring improved visuals and performance, as well as enhancements to combat, character progression, and more.
The Witcher 4 Confirmed for 2028
Meanwhile, CD PROJEKT RED has confirmed that The Witcher 4 is targeting a 2028 release window. The upcoming game will begin a new saga with Ciri as its protagonist and is being developed by a team of more than 500 people. According to the studio, the game will feature a huge open world, action-focused gameplay, and a deep story, making it the company's most ambitious project to date. However, The Witcher 4 will not be shown at Gamescom 2026, with the spotlight instead remaining on Songs of the Past.
