FC 27 Reworks Ultimate Team Progression With Smaller Upgrades

Smaller Upgrades, Longer Item Relevance

Player Items will launch with similar OVRs and PlayStyles to FC 26, but endgame cards will receive smaller Attribute and PlayStyle upgrades. EA is also reducing the maximum number of PlayStyle+ per Item from five to three to better preserve player identity and gameplay balance.

Campaign Squads will appear during approximately five fewer weeks, giving major promotions more time to stand out.

Steadier Squad Progression

EA is reworking the squad-building journey so progression feels more consistent. Starter squads will still be easy to build, while stronger and elite squads will require continued play.

Campaign squads will also be smaller, with tighter OVR ranges to make every Item feel more valuable.

Role++ for All Special Items

Every special Item released during FC 27 will receive Role++ familiarity across all roles in its primary and secondary positions. EA is also introducing Attacking Spatial Awareness, helping players make smarter attacking runs alongside new mechanics like Triggered Curved Runs, Pass & Follow Runs and Crossing into space.
