TrueFoot v1.4 Aims for a More Realistic and Harder CPU

TrueFoot has released version 1.4 of its free gameplay mod for EA Sports FC 26, focusing on restoring the gameplay experience that players enjoyed in v1.2 while keeping the best improvements introduced in v1.3. According to the developer, the update was built directly from community feedback and places a stronger emphasis on smarter CPU behavior, improved first touches, and more consistent finishing.

Key Changes

⚽ CPU Attack Restored: The more aggressive and intelligent attacking AI from v1.2 returns, featuring better decision-making, improved build-up play, wider attacking runs, and safer passing under pressure.
🎮 Improved First Touch: Elite technical players now control the ball more naturally, while dribbling quality is better differentiated between top and lower-rated players.
⭐ Weak Foot Rebalanced: Players with 3★-5★ weak foot receive less severe shooting and passing penalties, while 0★-2★ players remain intentionally limited.
🎯 More Reliable Finishing: Shot errors have been reduced, allowing quality strikers to convert chances more consistently without making finishing overpowered.
🏆 Team Quality Matters More: Stronger clubs now better showcase their superior passing, vision, ball control, reactions and finishing, without receiving any artificial pace boost.
📦 Crossing Tweaks: Crosses still curl dangerously but no longer feature the exaggerated spin introduced in v1.3, while defensive marking inside the box has also been tightened.
🧤 Defending & Goalkeepers: The calmer defensive structure from v1.2 remains, with small improvements to defender positioning. Goalkeeper balance from v1.3 has been retained.
⚙️ Consistency Across Modes: Kick-Off and Career Mode now play at a more similar pace, addressing one of the community's most common complaints.
🚀 Updated Motion Add-ons: Motion (Light) and Motion+ now modify jockeying, jogging and dribbling speeds in addition to sprint speed, while leaving the base gameplay untouched.
