Steam, reaching 160,728 players on July 26. The milestone surpasses the
game's launch-day peak by roughly 70% and marks the highest concurrent
player count ever recorded by the FIFA/EA Sports FC series on the
platform.
FUTTIES and FC Pro Fuel Player Growth
FUTTIES is traditionally one of Ultimate Team's biggest annual promotions, and this year's event appears to have significantly boosted player activity. At the same time, the FC Pro World Championship put the competitive scene in the spotlight, helping drive additional engagement throughout the week. The increase wasn't limited to Ultimate Team. Pro Clubs also experienced a major spike in activity, with the mode reportedly attracting around 600,000 players during one evening.
Player Counts Remain Strong
The record peak was not an isolated event. EA Sports FC 26 averaged approximately 101,000 concurrent Steam players over the past 30 days in July, a substantial increase compared to previous months. Even after setting the new record, live player counts remained close to 130,000 through late July 28, suggesting the momentum continued beyond a single weekend. Seasonal discounts and the packed schedule of in-game and esports events likely contributed to the spike, although the sustained player numbers indicate players continued returning after the initial surge.

The record comes despite the game's mixed user reviews on Steam, highlighting the continued appeal of EA Sports FC 26 on PC as its annual cycle nears its conclusion.
