Grand Theft Auto VI fans have wasted little time turning Rockstar's new $400 collector's box into a meme, with the biggest joke being that it doesn't actually include the game.

Rockstar has revealed the Goodtime State – Vice City Collection, a premium merchandise bundle inspired by the world of GTA VI. Priced at $399.99, the collection includes a Macca the Gator figure, clothing, accessories, a bag, pins, stickers, a poster, and other Vice City-themed items. There is just one rather important omission: GTA VI itself isn't included. The game will have to be purchased separately, which has quickly become the main source of jokes across social media.
Fans have been posting memes about spending $400 only to walk away with an alligator figure and a collection of merchandise, while others joked that Rockstar should have called it a “$400 alligator edition.”
The reaction isn't entirely negative, however. Some collectors are interested in the exclusive merchandise, particularly the Macca the Gator figure and Vice City-themed items. Still, the combination of the high price and the lack of the actual game has made the collection an easy target for the GTA community.
In short, Rockstar may have created one of the most expensive GTA VI memes before the game has even launched.
