Electronic Arts and Battlefield Studios have released a new gameplay trailer for Wake Island, giving players a closer look at the returning map ahead of its arrival in Battlefield 6 Season 4. The trailer showcases a mix of infantry combat, tank battles, and naval warfare, with players fighting across the island and its surrounding waters. The update will also introduce a Top Gun-themed event featuring exclusive rewards for completing challenges.
Wake Island Brings Land and Naval Combat Together
The new version of Wake Island expands the battlefield beyond traditional infantry and vehicle engagements. Players will have to contend with attacks and support coming from both land and sea, with boats playing an active role in combat.
The map also features an aircraft carrier, adding another major location to the battlefield and reinforcing the focus on combined-arms warfare.
Top Gun Event and Season 4
Wake Island will arrive alongside a collaboration between Battlefield 6 and Top Gun. Players will be able to complete event challenges to earn exclusive rewards inspired by the franchise.
Battlefield 6 Season 4 is scheduled to launch on August 18, 2026, with Wake Island available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
