The long wait is finally over. Neymar Jr. has been added to the EA Sports FC
Ultimate Team database, confirming that a new player item is imminent.
The Santos forward and Brazilian national team star is officially coming
back to the mode after an extended absence that left fans wondering
when — or if — he'd receive another promo card.
How long has Neymar been absent from Ultimate Team?
Neymar hasn't had a significant, widely available special card since the FUTTIES promo in FIFA 23, released back in August 2023. Since then, his presence in active promos has been minimal. While a low-rated Gold version and a single Winter Wildcard item appeared in later titles, the Ultimate Team meta has largely moved on without him. This database update marks the first real sign of a proper comeback.
What was Neymar's last major card?
The Brazilian's most recent high-end item before this hiatus was his 98 OVR FUTTIES card in FIFA 23, representing Paris Saint-Germain. That version featured near-perfect stats across the board:
- Pace: 99
- Shooting: 95
- Dribbling: 99
- Passing: 94
- 5-star skill moves and 5-star weak foot
After that legendary release, Neymar's only other notable item was a 91-rated Winter Wildcard in FC 25, but it never reached the same level of impact or availability as his FUTTIES version.
What to expect from the upcoming card
While exact stats haven't been officially confirmed, his gold card ones have been leaked. Then EA could opt for a Flashback, Showdown, and surely a new Promo during the World Cup. Samba Neymar is finally on his way back to Ultimate Team – and the mode is about to get a lot more skillful again.
