MLB 10: The Showt is the latest installment of the MLB: The Show series of video games, which is the longest officially licensed baseball simulation game on the PlayStation.  It is the direct successor to MLB 09: The Show, and will be released on March 2, 2010. The game presents a number of new features, including catcher mode and Home Run Derby, as well as improved gameplay and presentation. Depending of gameplay mode, the player has the ability to control all or one of the players in the game, and are given the option of playing as all of the MLB teams as well as select minor league teams. There are single and multiplayer modes as well as an online gaming feature through the PlayStation Network, which has been improved in this version of the series.
