Team of the Week 19 Prediction

  POSTED February 01, 2021

This is our Team of the Week 19 prediction. Salah is the star of a Team of the Week that´s not great but if EA decides could be interesting. Check it out.

Goalkeeper
  • 1. Musso - Udinese 80 >> 83

It´s difficult to pick a goalkeeper because there a few from Premier League that had some great performances like Rui Patricio. Why we don´t select them? Because there are many other players from the Premier League that could make it into this TOTW. So we decided that Musso, the Udinese goalkeeper with a solid performance this weekend could be the man.

Other possible contenders are Bounou, Sevilla's goalkeeper, Joel Robles ( Betis ) or Leca ( Lens )

Defenders
  • 2. Dubois - Lyon 79 >> 82
  • 3. Boateng - Bayern 82 >> 84
  • 4. Joao Cancelo - Manchester City 85 >> 86

Wildcards

  • Cuadrado
  • Azpillicueta

A balanced selection with 3 players from different leagues. Cancelo had an outstanding match last Tuesday against West Bromwich. He scored 1 goal and he was the man of the match. Since he did not play this weekend we believe that the performance will count towards this TOTW. If it´s not him it could be Azpillicueta, one of our wildcards. Dubois scored 1 and was the best of the match in Lyon´s victory against Bordeaux. Finally, we picked Boateng that scored one for Bayern Munich this weekend. If not him then Cuadrado could be the man. We picked Boateng to include a CB.

Midfielders
  • 5. Delaney - Dortmund 84 >> 86
  • 6. Saúl - Atlético Madrid 84 >> 86
  • 7. Soucek - West Ham 84 >> 86
  • 8. Wass - Valencia 80 >> 83

Wildcards

  • Gundogan
  • Raphinha

Delaney scored a goal and had a fantastic performance, playing as CDM. So this second in form won´t be a Center Back like the one he got at the beginning of the game. Saúl scored an important goal to help Atlético Madrid in their victory against Cádiz. We decided that Suárez probably won´t get an in form since he was awarded a Moments card a few days ago but also to balance this TOTW with players from La Liga. We picked Soucek, that had a solid performance against Crystal Palace scoring 2 goals. It would be his second in form. Finally, a player that could be a surprise, David Wass, a solid link to Delaney. Our wildcards are Gundogan and Raphinha. The german could find a place in this TOTW if Cancelo is not present in the starting XI.

Attackers
  •   9. Lautaro Martínez - Inter 87 >> 88
  • 10. Salah - Liverpool 91 >> 92
  • 11. Tadic - Ajax 83 >> 85

Wildcards

  • Lukaku
  • André Silva
  • Wilson

Lukaku or Lautaro? Lukaku scored 2, Lautaro scored 1 and assisted 1. We picked Lautaro because Lukaku got an In Form less than a month ago on January 6. Salah will be the star of this TOTW, no doubt he will be in. Everyone is predicting his presence. Finally, Tadic two great performances in a row. He played on the left-wing, his former position. Anyway, EA could change his position to Left Midfielder, and then a slot will be open in the attack. That could be for André Silva or Callum Wilson.

Substitutes
  • Bounou - Sevilla
  • Brooks - Wolfsburg
  • Wolf - Koln
  • Orsic - Dinamo Zagreb
  • Wilson - Newcastle
  • Bamford - Leeds

Other contenders

  • Borja Mayoral - Roma
  • Onyekuru - Galatasaray
  • Pascal Groß - Brighton
