TOTW 14, Holidays and Midweek Matches

In FIFA 17 ( 2016 )  holidays also fall on a weekend. So many leagues set their end of the year fixtures to be played on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.  The same happens this year. A few exceptions are England, Turkey, Scotland, Portugal, and Belgium leagues. So what EA did in the past to solve this problem?

In FIFA 17 this was the TOTW after Christmas 

For instance, Icardi played on Wednesday 21 and scored 2 in a 3-0 Inter victory over Lazio, so he find a place in TOTW. Lacazette, playing for Lyon, also scored on Wednesday, as well as Thiago Silva ( PSG 5-0 victory over Lorient ) Thiago, playing for Bayern, scored and assist in a 3-0 victory over Leipzig. Bernardeschi, on Thursday 22, scored 2 in a 3-3 Fiorentina vs Napoli draw.  We also see Hazard in there. Hazard scored one on Monday 26 against Bournemouth in a Chelsea 3-0 victory. And Reid, the CB scoring one, also on Monday 26, in a West Ham 4-1 victory against Swansea. 

So as you can see EA picked some midweek games to complete that TOTW. In this TOTW 14 Serie A, La Liga, Ligue 1 had midweek games and won´t be playing this weekend. The only problem is the Bundesliga. German clubs played DFB Pokal during the week, and there won´t be Bundesliga matches during this weekend so German clubs players would be present in this TOTW13.

But here comes another important fact. Even Tuesday matches counted. Muller from Hamburger, scored and assist on Tuesday 20 and he was selected in TOTW. Same for Hergota from Eintracht Frankfurt that scored 2 on Tuesday 20.
