"The epl stadium announcer samples for temporary use until master diego does his magic" -patchÂ
this patch consists of only 2 (for now!) different samples: a home goal announcement and one for substitutions. Konami has been really lazy with linking their original japanese noise, as away goals and substitutions use the same bins. and then again, it's quite hard to track down moments where tv commentary isn't "blocking" the announcer.Â
but if someone is interested in this kind of editing and has access to possible samples, here's some info (isn't 100% certain):
dt01.img:Â
unnamed_53 - unnamed_55 = away goal and substitutions
unnamed_56 - unnamed_61 = home goal
the samples are very subtle for practical reasons. they can't really be too much louder (maybe a bit, probably) as everyone would then hear quite clearly what the announcer says in those samples, and as you can imagine it can be a let-down. the samples have been edited to an extent in order to hide "the messages".Â
master diegos sfx sound v3 patch is highly recommended to be used with this patch. i'm in a belief that this kind of patching should be irrelevant soon. then announcer bins in dt01.img will be blanked completely.Â
instructions:
1. backup your dt01.img just in case. i can think of so many good reasons to do that. at least two.
2. import folder "dt01.img" to dt01.img with afs explorer.Â
3. rebuild the img file if the software recommends it. never question the opinion of the fantastic afs explorer.
4. go and play the game. score a goal, concede a goal and make substitutions.
5. come back here and tell everyone that it's an utterly useless patch.
