Ultimate Base Roster V7.0
This is the "Ultimate Base Roster" file for NBA2K12. I’ve named it this because of all the other extras included in just ONE roster file and all functions work (association, season, etc) without overwriting any data. It is HIGHLY recommended you download and install Wim.vl's 350+ Portrait Patch to use in conjunction with this roster file as it is completely compatible with every team within this roster. To download this portrait patch follow this link: 700+ Missing Legends & Rookie Portraits
Major Updates in V7:
· Updated the current NBA team rosters to the official NBA2K update as of 2/25/12 (I added Wallace to Lakers too)
· Fixed bug with the colleges (all players now have their correct college listed)
· Added hot zones / cold zones / neutral zones to ALL players who had all cold zones
· Fixed issue with the current Mavericks team crashing to desktop
· Fixed some minor player skin tones / appearances
· Fixed some centers/power forwards who were dribbling the ball up the court

INSTRUCTIONS:
1. You will see 2 folders in the WinZIP file.
2. You need to place everything located in the "Main NBA2K Folder" winzip folder into:
C:Program Files (x86)2K SportsNBA 2K12 (NOT THE SAVES FOLDER)
3. You need to place the file named “UltimateBaseRosterV7” located in the "SAVES" winzip folder into: C:UsersYour NameAppDataRoaming2K SportsNBA 2K12Saves
Then open the game and load the "UltimateBase" roster.
(Note – if you load the roster and not all the teams are showing then first load "Unlock All Settings" from the load menu. I included this file for anyone who hadn’t downloaded it yet (courtesy Jao).
All teams use the most accurate art files available for the retro teams by combining files from the original game, files I’ve created, or files others have made that have given me permission to include in this patch. Here is a recap of art files that have been included that may not have come with the game that now appear when using this patch.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Will installing the Ultimate Base Roster (UBR) overwrite anything?
A: No, UBR does not overwrite any game content. You’re asked to overwrite files when installing because the mod utilizes some hidden content in the game and has to tweak those files to make them work properly.
Q:Is UBR compatible with my favorite custom roster?
A: UBR uses 2K’s official roster updates as of now and there’s no chance to use it with another roster at the same time if you don’t merge them yourself. There are plans to include Albys Realistic Roster for current teams soon.
Q:Why do I see headless players with white arms/white jerseys?
A: This is caused by installing the files to the wrong folder. Extract all the files into your 2K12 folder except the .ROS file, which should go to your saves folder.
Q:Why do I see black courts?
A: This is because the custom courts in the mod are made for high graphics settings. The only solution is increasing your graphics settings.
Q:Some retro teams doesn’t work on association.
A: Most retro teams do, but not all of them. Report if you find one. All regular NBA teams work in association and that’s what is most important.
Q: You say the mod uses real jerseys but I downloaded a team and it had a fake jersey.
A: The days of .TMM files with fake jerseys are long gone. You have downloaded an obsolete version of those teams from a different site. Please make sure you’re getting the latest version and what you download is named Ultimate Base Roster.
Q:How do I use those teams with another roster?
A: Start a custom association with the team you want to use and export it as a .TMM file. Then open the roster you want to use and load the file you exported. Please note you can only load 10 teams using that method.
Q: When I start an association with a retro team, the players get scrambled after a while.
A: 2K12 is known to fail sometimes while handling big data files. If the problem persists even if you shut down and start the game again, export your team, load it in a vanilla roster of your choice and start the association from there. You can switch to UBR again after that, the association save will keep the vanilla roster.
Q: Can you add my favorite team?
A: It takes a lot of time and effort to accurately add teams – So be patient. If you’d like to help, create it with accurate players/ratings/pro years/ages, and send. It’ll be tweaked and added to the next version. I typically always create your team if you send in a donation. To make a donation visit here: https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_donations&business=diambridp%40gmail%2ecom&lc=US&item_name=HAWK23&item_number=HAWK23&no_note=0¤cy_code=USD&bn=PP%2dDonationsBF%3abtn_donate_LG%2egif%3aNonHostedGuest
Q: I’ve found a bug!
A: First of all, make sure what you found is consistent – 2K12’s engine is known to produce a lot of weird situations at times which doesn’t happen the next time you play. Second, make sure it’s actually caused by the Ultimate Roster Base and not any other mods you installed – This game is highly moddable and installing a dozen mods at the same time can cause conflicts. If you can reproduce the bug with a certain formula and are sure that it’s caused by UBR, report it and include the info about how it happens, what are the consequences, etc. To report bugs you can send a PM or post in the forum thread located here: http://forums.nba-live.com/viewtopic.php?f=143&t=82925
Teams:
66 Additional Retro Teams (not including the original retro teams that came with the game) were added to the file in chronological order (so they show up by the correct year in order from the "Quick Play" screen). All 66 of these teams have now been added into the game (using correct jerseys and courts) without using up a created team slot. They are:

Player Edits:
All the current teams are updated to the latest official 2K roster (2/25/12).
Many big men were edited to try and stop them from dribbling the ball up the court
Hot zones / cold zones added to all players who didn’t have them
All colleges are now correct (fixed bug)
Updated all current team players with their current accessories (LG-1 Accessories)
Fake Bench Player Edits:
As most of you know NBA2K included some "fake" players on the ends of the bench for some of the retro teams. I went ahead and edited those players with the correct players. For each fake bench player I used basketball-reference.com to determine which player(s) were left off the team. For each fake bench player I did the following:
• Changed names to accurate ones
• Changed numbers to accurate ones
• Changed positions to accurate ones
• Changed heights/weight to accurate ones
• Added portraits for those I could
***NOTE*** I did NOT edit player attributes or appearance yet for every player (simply because that is going to take a long time). I thought it would be a good start to instead just add the correct information I listed above for each player. Now there were a few players I did go ahead and spent some time on. You will notice those as you play (Nick Van Exel and Rick Fox for the 98 Lakers, Barkley for the 85 sixers, etc). The majority of players, however, I only changed the information I listed above. The following is a full list of edits made to the Retro Bench Players:
